Faith Catherine Keller Davis, 85, of 401 Asbury Road, Candler, died Monday, February 9, 2009, at St. Joseph Campus, Mission Hospital. Mrs. Davis was a daughter of the late Frank and Lillian Wolfanger Keller. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Joanie Birmingham. She had formerly worked at Brody's Stork Nest and in the cafeteria of Vance Elementary School. She was a member of West Asheville Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Howard T. Davis; one daughter, Laurie Henson and husband, Russ, of Flat Rock, and two grandchildren, Eric Henson, of Laurel, MD and Clint Henson, of Hendersonville; and brothers-in-law, Henry A. Davis, of Hendersonville, and Mr. and Mrs. Gene T. Davis, of Venton, VA. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Cecil Hopps officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

    I will always have memories of Mrs Davis growing up their on Asbury Rd and will always remembering playing board games with her and talking about life in general she will be missed very much.     My condolences to you and your family. The road should’ve been ‘Faithfield Dr.’ I will always remember Faith as the sweet lady at the top of the street that didn’t mind if I rode my bicycle or walked through her yard. She actually wanted me to do that so the crazy drivers wouldn’t run over me! I loved her….such a sweet sweet lady. She will truely be missed. Thinking of you.

  7. We met Faith @ Aston Park on the 100 hall. She and my mother ate together everyday. What a joy she was, never complaining. We are so thankful that our paths crossed and we were able to meet this sweet lady.

  10. Visiting Faith and Howard was always fun! She always had the best cake and as a kid I thought it was awesome that she worked in a toy store. Howard, Laurie and family my thoughts are with you.

  16. I am so sorry to hear about Mrs. Davis death. I used to work at wachovia bank and took care of Mrs. Davis. We used to talk about my little one all the time. She was a great woman. My prayers are with you all in this time of need.

  17. Oh what a WONDERFUL lady! I will miss Faith…I have so many fond memories of her while growing up on Fairfield Drive. She was always so kind and cheerful…and I LOVED talking politics with her!
