Fay Desma Cornett Alcorn

Fay Desma Cornett Alcorn, 85, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2012, at Universal Healthcare Fletcher after a long struggle with dementia. In Heaven she will be met by her husband Jimmy G. Alcorn, her parents and eight of her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her son, Jonothan Andrew Alcorn, his wife Cindy, and their three sons, Ross, Joshua and Zachary; by her daughter, Eva Susan Alcorn Hardesty, her partner Kim, and their daughter, Lynnlee and by Fay's sister and three brothers. She loved her family more than anything in the world. Being a wife, mother and grandmother was her greatest joy.
A funeral service is scheduled for 4:00 pm Thursday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian.
The family will receive friends following the service. She will be buried with her husband Jimmy in Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, KY.
Thank you to the staff of Universal for their wonderful care of Fay over the past seven years.

I was so sorry to hear of Faye’s passing. She had a long hard fight, but she was a trooper! You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I didnt have the privilege of knowing Mrs Alcorn but because of some dear people in my life who have had to say good bye for now. I understand what that means to them. My sincere prayers and condolences to you and your family.
