Faye Searcy Moffitt, 86, of Arden, died Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Mission Hospital.

Born in Chimney Rock Township, NC, she was the wife of the late Clifton George Moffitt, the love of her life. She was the daughter of the late Melvin and Elsie (Wright) Searcy, and was also preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Ballard, and a brother-in-law, Col. Arthur T. Ballard.

Faye was a member of Biltmore Church where she was involved with the ladies prayer group. She was an excellent cook and seamstress, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of her life.

Faye is survived by three children: Lynne Guge (Scott) of Waynesville, Brian Moffitt (Sharon) of Statesville, and Neal Moffitt (Janice) of Gastonia; 7 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, June 14, 2021 at Biltmore Church with Rev. Kelvin Moseley officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Mausoleum, Candler. Friends will be received at the church one hour prior to the service, from 10 until 11 AM.
