Fletcher R. Adams, Jr., 51, of 410 Asbury Road, Candler, NC, died Saturday, April 8, 2000.

Mr. Adams was born in Concord and was a son of the late Fletcher Ruff Adams, Sr., M.D. and Anne Stephenson Adams, M.D. He was a Marine Corps veteran of Vietnam and owned and operated Diamond Jewelry and Pawn in Asheville. He had been active with the United Way Junior Achievement and was a member of the Asheville Rifle & Pistol Club and the NRA.

He is survived by three sons, David, Charles and Michael Adams, all of the home, one sister, Anne Hannon and her husband James of Allentown, PA; a niece Katie, a nephew Daniel, and a very dear friend, Elizabeth Anderson.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 5 - 7 pm Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue, Asheville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Buncombe County Chapter, American Heart Association, 50 South French Broad Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801.
