Fairview – Floyd Wesley Wagner, 55, died Sunday, October 9, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Wagner was born in Niagara Falls, New York to the late Robert Lawrence Wagner and Joe Anne Pope Wagner. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, John and Robert (Bobby) Wagner and a sister Linda. Mr. Wagner was a veteran of the U.S. Army and is survived by his wife, Patricia Wagner. Also surviving are two daughters, Danielle Wilson of Asheville and Sherry Shepherd and her husband, Clay of Bristol, VA; a son Robert "Bob" Wagner and his wife, Cheri, of NY; two brothers, Jeff and Michael Wagner; a sister, Cheryl and four grandchildren, Carlee, Alex, Brittany and Justin. A time of gathering of friends for Mr. Wagner will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals road from 4:00pm to 5:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 120 Executive Park #1, Asheville, NC 28801.
