Frances Norton Erwin

Frances Norton Erwin, 57, of Asheville, died Friday, July 10, 2015. A native of Buncombe Co., she was a daughter of the late Roland and Hazel Littrell Norton. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Sheila Norton. Mrs. Erwin was a member of Mt. Sheba Baptist Church. She also loved to shop and was always on the lookout for a good sale. Thinking of others though, she would often give her things away to those who may need them more. She loved to laugh, watch old movies, and spend time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Erwin is survived by her husband, James Herbert Erwin; daughters, Amber Banks and husband Brandon, and Tennille Roberts and husband Brad; son, Gary Erwin; grandchildren, Rylee, Chase, Corbin, Samara, Landon, Jacob, and Kyle; sister Lesia Smith and husband Bud; and brothers Gary and Terry Norton. A memorial service for Mrs. Erwin will be held at 6:00 p.m. Saturday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Revs. Bob Hagan and Steve Rhinehart officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
