Asheville Butterfly TrailA native of Wake County, NC, Mrs. Jordan was a daughter of the late Samuel Jefferson Rhodes, Sr. and Blanche Suggs Rhodes and the wife of the late Joseph Dwight Jordan who died in 1996. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Judith Anne Jordan.
Mrs. Jordan was a homemaker and a member of Biltmore United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Richard Jordan and his wife, Dr. Sandra Madison of Asheville; four grandchildren, Zachary Dwight Jordan, Joshua Madison Jordan, Christopher Madison Jordan and Abigail Madison Jordan, and one sister, Lina Mae Lowe of Charlotte.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Friday, September 14 at Biltmore United Methodist Church with Reverend Ashley Crowder-Stanley officiating. Interment will follow on Saturday at 10:00 AM in Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 PM in the chapel of Groce Funeral at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road.

Tink will always be remembered as one of my favorite aunts. We talked the night she went to the hospial and one of the last things she told me was that she loved me. I share your great loss.
We are saddened by the passing of our friend and neigbor Frances. She was a beautiful lady and a true southern Belle. She will be missed by all who knew her.
We were out of town yesterday and most of today and are sorry to have missed the service for her. Our prayers are with the Jordan family.
