Frances Wilson Barber

Frances Wilson Barber, 65, of 160 Dorchester Avenue, Asheville, died Saturday, May 6, 2006, at Emerald Ridge Health Care. A native of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of Frances Sluder Wilson and the late Roy F. Wilson and was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Barber, who died in 1995. Self-employed as a music teacher, she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, she is also survived by an aunt, Carol Sluder of Mooresville. No services are planned at this time. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, PO Box 2702, Asheville, NC 28802.
