Frank Clayton Riddle, 83, of Asheville, went home to be with the Lord on May 8, 2011, surrounded by his family. A native of Buncombe Co., he was a son of the late Jason Thomas and Kate Parham Riddle. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Don Riddle. Mr. Riddle was a member of Newfound Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Clara Sluder Riddle; son, Dr. Bruce Clayton Riddle and wife Diana Horne Riddle; brothers, Richard Boyd Riddle and wife Vera, Carl Parham Riddle, and Bobby Riddle and wife Ida; grandchildren, Joshua, Kaitlyn, Daniel, and Gracie; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Mr. Riddle will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Newfound Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in the church's cemetery. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to CarePartners Hospice, P.O. Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813.
