Frank Pendley, 75, of 6 Kimberly Lane, Swannanoa, died Friday, June 8, 2001, at Hospice Solace Center.

A native of Mitchell County, he was a son of the late Will E. and Lizzie Ledford Pendley. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Haney and a step-son, Maurice Davall. He was retired from Asheville Plastics and was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Sherlin Pendley; a daughter, Angela Pendley Mitchell of Burnsville; two sons, Victor Sherrill Pendley of Asheville and Curtis Mitchell Pendley of Charlotte; two step-daughters, Diane Jackson and Eva Hargrove of Asheville; two step-sons, Roy Rector of Asheville and Michael Davall of San Francisco, CA; a son-in-law, Bobby Haney of Asheville; a sister, Dora Fox of Marion; two brothers, Bob Pendley of Omaha, NE and Lee Pendley of Marion; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Sunday at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer with the Reverend Alexander H. Hanks officiating. Burial will at 10:00 am Monday at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 pm Saturday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
