Frank Phillip “Phil” Hawkins, 55, of Flesher’s Fairview Health Care Center died
Monday, November 16, 1998, in an Asheville hospital.
Mr. Hawkins was born in Madison County and was a son of the late Charlie C. Hawkins.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Marie Robinson and Lewis Maynard, Sr.,
of Candler; two brothers, Cecil Hawkins of Fairview and Don Hawkins of Asheville; a
step-brother, Lewis Maynard, Jr. of Michigan; a step-sister, Edith Caron of Michigan;
and three nieces, Pam Penland, Lisa Reid, and Sonya Hawkins.
Graveside services will be at 12:00 Noon Thursday at Emmas Grove Baptist Church
Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Baird officiating.
His family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home
and request that memorials be made to the Fairview Baptist Church Building Fund.
