Frank W. Green, resident of Deerfield Episcopal Retirement Center in Asheville, died Friday, June 30, after a long illness. He was born in New York City on August 17, 1925, attended the Lawrenceville School, served in the 91st Infantry Italian campaign from Anzio to Trieste 1944 and received a BA from Brown University in 1949. Among his many business successes were Fieldcrest Corporation, where he rose to president and also Lanvin Charles of the Ritz Cosmetics, where he was president and CEO. An avid yachtsman, sailor and golfer, he was a former member of many clubs, including the Union League Club in New York, High Hampton Country Club in Cashiers, where he lived for many years, and the Carolina Yacht Club in Charleston. His keen sense of humor, incisive wit and great honor, loyalty and dignity will be sorely missed by his wife of 53 years, Norma Truxell, sister, Virginia Paul, sons, F. William and Nathanael, daughter, Felicity, grandchildren, Audrey and Miles and loving basset hound, Dazey Mae.

There will be a memorial service on Monday, July 3, at 2:00 pm at St. Lukes Episcopal Church, 219 Chunns Cove Road, Asheville, NC 28805.
