THE ANGLES ARE SINGING TODAY FOR A MOST BEAUTIFUL LADY HAS JOINED THEM. I DO NOT REMEMBER EVER NOT KNOWING FREDA. WE WENT TO SCHOOL TWELVE YEARS TOGETHER AND I THINK SHE CHANGED THE LEAST OF ANY OF OUR CLASSMATES. SHE ALWAYS HAD A SMILE FOR EVERYONE, DOWN TO EARTH, A BEAUTIFUL LADY DOWN TO THE SOUL.
I DIDN’T GET TO SEE FREDA OFTEN BUT WHEN I HEARD OF HER DEATH, I FELT SUCH A GREAT LOSS OF A DEAR PERSON. GOD BLESS YOU FAMILY. MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU.
Freda was an inspiration to me. She always had a smile on her face and love in her heart. She will be missed at West Buncombe Elementary School. May you find comfort knowing your loved one is with God and has found peace.

But never forget to remember the things that made you gald’.’May God hold all of you in the hollow of His hand’ during this time of sorrow.
Cecil, Khrista, and Jason,
Words cannot help at this time, but we want you all to know that we are saddened by the loss of your ‘dear’ wife and ‘precious’ mother. We have not seen Freda in a long time, but we remember the good times when she was always there for you. We remember times at school and times on the ball field and just times when we saw her out somewhere and times I have been with her and Jennifer to do things. She always had a smile on her face and a warm heart for everyone. She will be greatly missed by not only the family, but by the many children and adults whose lives she touched. You are in our thoughts and prayers and will pray that God(who is the only one who can) comforts you during this time of sorrow. Love in Christ, Claudette, Brian & Brad

Dear Wood Family, I met Freda a few months ago while undergoing radiation treatments for breast cancer. I was so impressed with how positive and how cheerful she always came. She was such an inspiration to everyone. We were both Buncombe Co. School employees and shared a love for children. I am sure her legacy will live on for years to come in the lives she touched at WB. May God grant you peace and comfort in the days ahead. I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless. Paulette Megee

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I did volunteer work when my son was in third grade in 1982 and that was when I first met Freda. She had a special gift of working with children and I know many lives have been touch by her love and devotion to them.
We will sadly miss Freda, my kids went thru West Buncombe with her. I got to know her, she was so caring and loving. May God Richly Bless you and your family at this time of grief.
