Most say as their time comes to leave this place, They have fought the good fight and finished their race. While this may be true for most of you, For Gail, her race is beginning anew. On a rainy Friday morn, our sweet Gail took her flight, She ran through the pearly gates toward the Great Light. She raced down the streets of gold and past the crystal sea, By the walls of Jasper and listened to Angels sing Holy is He. As she rounded the corner of the throne of our Creator, She was hand in hand with Jesus our Savior, They walked together and joined the welcoming committee of her father and mother, John and Edith Butler Dockens, a brother, Walter Monroe Dockins, Sr,. grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins were amongst the crowd gathered to welcome Gail home. Those left behind to carry on are a sister, Jacqueline McGlothlin (Mike) of Apopka, FL., a brother, Keith M. Dockins (Becky), a sister in law, Linda Dockins and an aunt, Betty Sales, all of Asheville. A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins are left to wait for the reunion day. We will celebrate Gail's life on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with Pastor Keith M. Dockins and Evangelist Jim Sales. Visitation of family and friends will be Tuesday, May 22 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. We will finalize Gail's time on Earth immediately following the celebration service at New Salem Cemetery. Gail will run and run in that beautiful land, She is waiting for you to take her hand.
