George Albert Brigman, Sr.

Mr. Brigman was born in Polk County, NC and was the son of the late John and Etta Sue Bostic Brigman. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie S. Brigman who died in 1995, and two brothers, James and Eugene Brigman. He was the owner and operator of George A. Brigman Paint Contractors and was a founding member of Painting and Decorating Contractors of America.
He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Funicello and her husband James; and Theresa Gibson; a son, Albert Brigman and his wife Tammy , all of Asheville; three grandchildren, Mandilyn Holcombe and Andrea and Stephanie Funicello; four sisters, Louise Toney of Vila Rica, GA, Mary Catherine Kennedy of Forest City, Lois Bridges of Unicoi, TN, and Diane Roberson of Bostic; and three brothers, Paul Brigman of Ellenboro, Johnny Brigman of Forest City, and Thomas Brigman of Rutherfordton.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Thursday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with burial to follow at Green Hills Cemetery.
His family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
