Gladys Curry Duncan

Gladys Marie Curry Wilson Duncan, 80, of 62 Hickory Tree Road, Asheville, died Thursday, November 15, 2001, in an Asheville hospital. Mrs. Duncan was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Sebe Littleton and Barbara Augusta Ownsby Curry. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Clyde Woodfin Wilson and James Edward Duncan, a son, Jack C. Wilson, who died in 1993, four brothers, Clinton, Kenneth, Ervin C. and Leon R. Curry, and a sister Ovella Jean Lunsford. She was a former inspector for Beacon Mfg. Co. and was a member of the Biltmore Church of God. Surviving are one daughter, Elaine Richardson of Asheville; one brother, David J. Curry of Asheville; one granddaughter, Angela Marie Warren and one great-grandson, Aaron Michael Warren. Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm Monday at Gashes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverends Daniel Allen and Gary Thompson officiating. Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Sunday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue and request that memorials be made to Mountain Area Hospice, PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28803.
