Gladys Waldrup Marlow, 88, of Fairview, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2012. Born in Madison County to the late Herb and Ada Worley Waldrup, she was a homemaker. She attended Blantons Business College and was a member of Nesbitts Chapel United Methodist Church. Other than her parents, Mrs. Marlow was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Leslie Marlow, and brother, Horace Waldrup. She is survived by her three daughters, Janet Hitch of New London, NC, Sandra McAbee and husband, Steve, and Nancy Ownbey and husband Melrow all of Fairview; two sisters, Mabel Holt of Lebanon, OH and Agnes Henderson of Fairview; 7 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at Nesbitts Chapel UMC, on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at 3 pm. Rev. Tony Moreau will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. At other times, the family will be at Mrs. Marlow's home or at the home of her daughter, Sandra McAbee. Interment will be in Nesbitts Chapel UMC Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eric and Elijah McAbee, Jennifer Samulski, Jeremy Hitch, Jerry Griffin, Chad, Marlena and Tiffany Ownbey. Honorary pallbearer will be Kevin McAbee.
