Gordon Lee McConnell, Sr., 91, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018, at the CarePartners Solace Center.
Born in Clayton, GA, Mr. McConnell was the last of eight children born to Virgil A. and Mary Crone McConnell. He was a WWII Army veteran and was retired from Rockwell International. He was married to Edith Oliver McConnell, who died August 17 of this year.
He is survived by his son, Gordon L. McConnell, Jr. and wife, Lucy; granddaughter, Alison Davis, and husband Jacob, and great-grandson, Tyler.
Private graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Mausoleum.
The family will greet friends prior to the entombment, from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
