Grace Robinson Poore - Groce Funeral Home

Grace Viola Robinson Poore, 86, of 12 Greene View Road, Candler, died Wednesday, May 19, 1999, in an Asheville hospital.Mrs. Poore was born July 8,
1912 in Canton, NC and moved to Buncombe County at the age of 3 1/2. Her parents were the late Gordon Allen and Vaudie Cole Robinson.

Grace and her husband, the late Rhea Jackson Poore, were active members of Snow Hill United Methodist Church all their married lives. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, Triple L Club, and taught Sunday school for many years.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Floyd and George Robinson. She is survived by her daughter, Billie P. Netherton of Morganton, and her son, Bobby G. Poore and his wife Gail of Candler; six grandchildren, James and Gregory
Netherton of Morganton, Susan Reid of Brevard, Allison Cathey, Jan Caldwell, and Gordon Cogburn of Candler, and twelve great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, Edward, Ralph, and Frank Robinson of Candler, James Robinson of Asheville, and a sister, Lura Wright of Candler, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Friday, May 21, at Snow Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev.
Dr. Neil Haynes officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.Her family will receive
friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Thursday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue and request that memorials be made to the Snow Hill Cemetery Fund,
