Harold Dean Parham, 78, of Candler, died Monday, May 8, 2017. A native of Buncombe Co., Harold was the son of the late Argle Willard and Virginia Lee Parham. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Parham. Mr. Parham was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving are his wife, Gail Marie Allen Parham; daughters, Deanna Queen and Connie Richardson; sons, Ricky Dale Parham (Alicia), Thomas Cook (Windi), and Danny Cook (Michelle); 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and sister Drucilla Gaddy (Eddie). The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at Groce Funeral Home, Patton Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, www.kidney.org.

    Our deepest sympathy to you and your family. Harold Dean is in a much better place where he no longer is suffering and is free of his earthly problems. Just think that he will be rid of his old body and will have a complete new body. He will be greatly missed as he was a wonderful man to his friends and kin. Cherish your memories.     Carlton and I are going to miss Harold so much at dialysis. He was one of the first patients we met and we just hit it off. Harold was just so likable. Always smiling, joking, sharing his veggies, showing concern for the patients and a pleasure to know. Just know he will always remain in our hearts. We are thinking of the family during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Gail, please call if I can do anything for you.
