Harold M. Wells

Mr. Wells was born in Buncombe County and was a son of the late Grover C. and Nellie Ann Stines Wells.  He was a Navy veteran of WW II and was a retired welder.  He was a member of the Hominy Lodge #491, A.F. & A.M., and a member of Starnes Cove Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Ingle Wells;  two sons and daughters-in-law, Harold Joe and Carolyn Wells of Gray, TN, and Jeff and Carrie
Wells of Modesto, CA;  two sisters, Wilma Brooks of Asheville and Reba Rogers of Candler;  three brothers, Charles, Wayne, and Glenn Wells of Asheville;  five grandchildren, Tegan, Whitney, Brenna, Zeb, and Pam, and a great-grandchild,
Kacie.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday at Starnes Cove Baptist Church with the Revs. Charles Sams, Jesse Head and Howard Laney officiating.  Masonic Rites will be conducted by the Hominy Lodge at Green Hills Cemetery.  The lodge will
open at 10:00 am.

His family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Tuesday at Groce Funeral
Home on Patton Avenue where Mr. Wells will remain until being placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
