Arden - Harriet K. Limbaugh, 65, of Chinquapin Drive, died Friday, December 1, 2000.

A native of Cocoa, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur McCall and Margaret Cooper Kimrey.

She was a former elementary school teacher and a member of Avery’s Creek United Methodist Church. She enjoyed world travel and was a volunteer and past president of the Auxiliary at Memorial Mission Hospital.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Lester J. Limbaugh; two daughters and their husbands, Virginia L. and Mark Shirey of Jupiter, Florida, Sarah L. and Stephen Redmond of Arden; two sons and their wives, L. Hunter and Nell Limbaugh of Columbia, SC, Mark M. and Elisa Limbaugh of Columbia, SC; a sister, Virginia K. Willmann of Sebastian, Florida; a brother, John Thomas Kimrey of Palm Bay, Florida; 8 grandchildren, Benjamin Limbaugh, Leah Limbaugh, Emma Limbaugh, David Shirey, Garrett Shirey, Patrick Shirey, Ashleigh Redmond and Kayla Redmond.

A private memorial service will be held at Avery’s Creek United Methodist Church.

Memorials may be made to the Mary S. Creasman Scholarship Fund of Avery’s Creek United Methodist Church, in care of Mr. Irby Brinson, 95 Brinson Lane, Arden, NC 28704.

Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is in charge of arrangements.
