Hazel Carter Taylor
Hazel Carter Taylor, 82, of Arden, passed away on June 17, 2017 at Fleshers Fairview Health Care. She was the wife of the late George Herren Taylor and daughter of the late Ralph and Donnie Carter. She is survived by her sister, Melba Carter Pickens (husband Phil), son Gary Taylor (wife Susan), daughter Christy Williams (husband Ransome), daughter Lisa Lackey (husband John), and six grandchildren: Geoffrey Taylor (wife Abby), Chelsea Taylor (husband Adam), Avery Williams, Jessica Williams, Sara Lackey and Jake Lackey.
A native of Buncombe County, Hazel graduated from Flat Creek High School and Grace Hospital School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse and homemaker.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ABCCM, 20 Twentieth Street, Asheville, NC 28806.
A graveside service for family members will be held at Tweeds Chapel Cemetery in Fletcher on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
