Hazel L. West

Asheville - Hazel L. West, a resident of Magnolia Health Care in Asheville, departed this life on Monday, August 8, 2005. Born January 6, 1921 in Spartanburg, SC, she was a daughter of the late John Harvey and Ollie Ruth Davis West. Hazel was also preceded in death by two brothers, Westley Lee West and John Daniel West. Hazel is survived by one sister, Ruby Mae West Sane of Newport, Tenn.; a nephew, Clifford Sane and a niece, Violet Willis, both of Newport. Several half-brothers and sisters also survive. Hazel’s closest friends and extended family were the staff and co-residents of Magnolia Health Care, where she had lived for many years. No local services are planned.
