Helen Louise Parham, 63, of Bear Creek Rd., Leicester, died on Monday, July 21, 2008, following a long illness.
A native of Buncombe Co., she was a daughter of Thelma Revis Parham and of the late Ulus "Chub" Parham.
Ms. Parham was a 1963 graduate of Erwin High School. She worked as an office manager for Stampco Metal Products in Weaverville prior to her disability. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church, where she also participated in the Ladies Bible Study Class.
In addition to her mother, Ms. Parham is survived by her sister, Mary Bermudez, of Leicester; brother, Ulus Ray Parham, of Raleigh; nieces, Marge Bermudez and Jamie Brooke Parham; great-nephew, Bradley; several cousins, and other family and friends.
A funeral service for Ms. Parham will be on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Mountain View Baptist Church, with the Revs. Anthony Fox and Randy Sluder officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Her body will remain at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue where friends may call until she is taken to the church Thursday.

We wanted to say how sorry we are for your lose. Helen always had a wonderful smile along with a kind word for everyone. You could just feel her love for you in her words and actions, always thinking of others first. Knowing she is no longer suffering is a blessing. May God be with you all during this time of sadness for the lost of such a wonderful person.
