Helen Martin Clark, 85, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018, at CarePartners Solace Center.
A native of Macon County (Nantahala), she had retired from BASF. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle James Clark, Sr., and sons, Gary Lee Clark, James Edward “Eddie” Clark and Doyle James “Jimmy” Clark, Jr.
Mrs. Clark enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, going to church Sundays, porch sitting with her great-granddaughters, and being with her pups, Midnight and Patch.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Brittany Fortner and her husband, Chris (who was considered as a grandson to Mrs. Clark); and two great-granddaughters, Kinleigh and Lennon Fortner.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, Candler, with the Rev. Eric Hill officiating.
Flowers will be appreciated or memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, 2312 Smoky Park Highway, Candler, NC 28715.
Helen became a loved member of our family when she took care of our mother, Annie Lee Orr. She was such a blessing to us. My brother, sister-in-l, and I will forever cherish our memories of her.

A great amazing Lady and a great friend. She loved her family. I will miss her so much and I will really miss our talks.
