Ruby Helen Neighbors Wright, 85, of Asheville, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at her residence.
Born in Spartanburg, SC, to the late Reuben J. and Ruby Powell Neighbors. She worked as an RN for the state of NC. Helen loved her church family at East Asheville UMC where she was an active member. She was devoted to her late husband, Carroll Wright, and to her children and grandchildren who she loved supporting in all their endeavors.
Survivors include three sons, David Wright (Beverly) and Mark Wright (Pam) of Asheville and Dan Wright (Rhonda) of Simpsonsville, SC; six grandchildren; and a brother, Louie Neighbors of Dallas, TX.
The funeral service will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road. Rev. Kerry Purselle will officiate and burial will follow in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Our prayers are with all the Wright family. Helen and Carrol were great neighbors and wonderful friends. Great memoies!

So sorry to read about Helen. I knew her a long time when my Brother Wayne & hazel lived beside Carrol & Helen. She was a sweet lady. She will be missed. Prayers for the family.
