Henry Frank Jones

Linville ~ Henry Frank Jones, 86, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at Mission Hospitals ~ St. Joseph Campus. He was a native of E. Meadow, Long Island, NY and was the son of the late Charles Jones and Erna Bentsen Jones Erickson. He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Mr. Jones retired in 1984 from the Nassau County Medical Center, E. Meadow, New York as a stationary engineer and served in the US Navy during World War II. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Muriel Janes Jones of Linville, NC; two daugh-ters, Karen D. Potthoff and husband Kim of Fletcher and Kim Smith and husband Rich of Coram, NY; a son, Jeffrey Jones and wife Veronica of Chula Vista, CA; two grand-daughters, Alexis and Emily. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Calvary Episcopal Church with the Rev. Victor Mansfield officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Episcopal Churchyard. The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 5:00 P.M. on Saturday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road.
