Pearl,
Your sense of loss must be overwhelming at this time.
I can only say that, Laura and I share a part of that loss. We are thinking about you and your family and our prayers for you are often.
Please know that we love you.
Love Always
Gary and Laura
So sorry about your loss. You all are in our prayers.
I worked with Herb at the Forest Service from 1976 until his retirement. He was a true gentleman and scholar, and was always so pleasant and helpful to all his fellow employees. My deepest sympathies to his family. May God bless you with the sweetest of memories of you loved one and grace in the coming days.
Pearl, David, Monica, Lamar & Family, Herb was such an outstanding person. Our physical world will miss him. May you find comfort in knowing how much he was respected. You are in our thoughts.
I am sorry to hear about your loss. I live in Savannah and made many trips to Asheville to work with Herb.
I am staying in Cashiers and bought a Thursday edition of the Asheville paper. I save an article I wanted to save and tore out the page. Today I realized that I had saved the wrong page and started to throw it out. Something was telling me that I should look at it more closely. There was Herb’s obituary.
Herb was first class; I and many others will miss him.
