Hilda Jackson Honeycutt

Hilda Jackson Honeycutt, 82, died on Monday, March 24, 2025.

A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe Co., Hilda was a daughter of the late William Howard and Ruth McFee Jackson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Claude “Junior” Honeycutt, and sister, Ethel Reese.

Mrs. Honeycutt retired from American Enka/BASF after 42 years of service. She loved to play the piano and sing gospel music.

She is survived by her nephew, Brian Strickland (Tammy); and great-nieces, Kelsey Holt (Cliff), Grace Strickland and Hannah Strickland.

The graveside service for Mrs. Honeycutt will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at Browns View Church Cemetery. Her nephew, Rev. Brian Strickland, and Pastor Ricky Netherton, Browns View Church, will officiate.

Her family thanks the staff of Heritage Hills, in Hendersonville, for the compassionate care provided to Hilda for the last year.
