  26. I am so sorry to hear of Hilda’s passing. We know she will never have to suffer again as she had here on earth. I met Hilda and Tommy at Harbor Inn where I work and always loved to serve them. As we began to talk she had subbed in my daughters class on occassion. Amanda always loved it when she did and when we would see them out, she would run and hug Hilda. One day,Tommy and Hilda invited us to come and pick apples in the orchard. The boys were so small they couldn’t reach even the lowest apples on the tree and would start picking them up from the ground!! They still remember this outing. So, even though we didn’t know them as well as some of you have, they made a wonderful impression on my children. Hilda gave me a cd that we will continue to enjoy and a scarf that she made for me!! You are blessed to have had wonderful parents. May God Bless You and Your Family.

  30. I last saw Hilda and Tommy when Terry was a baby, such a long time ago. I last spoke with her about 1965 when I called to pour out my heart in my unhappiness at the time. When I last talked to Tommy, forget the year, he sounded as if he had just seen me yesterday and told me Hilda was out in the field on the tractor–somehow I could just see her. Such a lovely lady, always kind to me, and I remember her as she was so long ago. I’ve looked at the Farmer obituaries at Groce Funeral Home from time to time for special reasons, first Tony, then Jim and Tommy, now Hilda, and that dear family will always have a special place in my heart.
