Hilliard 'Bud' Brookshire
November 6, 1914 ~ July 19, 1998
Graveside services for Mr. Brookshire will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, July 21, 1998, at Oak Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. with the Rev. Enoch Ball, Jr. officiating.
Mr. Brookshire was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and was a son of the late George and Arta King Brookshire. He was employed by Builders Supply and Coal Co., Greyhound Bus Lines, and Three Mountaineers.
He is survived by his wife, Winifred Owen Brookshire; daughters, Claudette Warren and Joan Plemmons; a son, Terry Brookshire; step-daughters Mildred Fisher and Frances Ellenburg; step-sons, Dillard Whitmire, Jesse Whitmire, and R.L. Whitmire; sisters, Lucille Gunter, Ruby Shaft, and Dorothy Kress; and several grandchildren.
