Howard Green

Howard Green, 80, of 920 Monte Vista Rd., Candler, died Monday, October 25, 1999 in an Asheville hospital.
A native of Buncombe County, he was the son of the late Watson and Nettie Israel Green. He was a retired employee of 48 years at American Enka. He also served his country in WW II.
He is survived by his wife Helena Coin Green; a son Howard W. Green Jr. and his wife Sharon; a sister Fannie Green; three grandsons and three granddaughters all of Candler.
Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Thursday in the Patton Avenue Chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Reverends Stanley Taylor and Gene King officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah View Memorial Park with Military graveside rites conducted by the Enka High School Jr. ROTC unit.
His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
