Hubert Richard Roberts

Hubert Richard Roberts, 89, of Leicester, died on Monday, December 17, 2007, at the John F. Keever Hospice Solace Center. A native of Madison Co., Mr. Roberts was a son of the late Garrett Bunyon and Zona Bishop Roberts. Mr. Roberts was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in WWII. Mr. Roberts is survived by his sisters, Vergie Roberts and Fleda Wells, of Leciester, and Alma Teague, of Brevard. A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. with the Rev. Ray Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Aubrey Wells, Roger Wells, Harold Roberts, Alburn Teague, Ronald Teague, and Kenneth Roberts. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
