Hunter Evan Axelrod, 41, died on Monday, January 31, 2022, at his home in Mableton, GA.

Hunter was born and raised as Glenn Roy Smith, Jr., “Doodles” in Candler. He was the son of Patsy Dockery Smith, of Candler, and the late Glenn Roy Smith, Sr. (May 20, 2021). He worked in the corporate offices of Disney and traveled the world with the theme park division.

In addition to his mother, Patsy, he is survived by his brother, Joey Ray Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 11 in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Netherton officiating. Burial will follow at Browns View Church Cemetery.

His family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
