Ida Christine Robinson Joyner, 86, died on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the CarePartners Solace Center.

Christine was a daughter of the late Bentley Carlvin Robinson and Annie Delores Douglas Robinson. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Bobby Gray Joyner, who died in 2022.

Surviving are her daughters, Janice Panza (Bill), of New Bern, Nancy Joyner, of Weaverville, and Rachel Burnette (Ben), of Alexander; son, Robert Joyner (Kody), of Candler; 11 grandchildren, and17 great-grandchildren.

Her family will receive friends on Thursday, May 23 at 10:00 a.m. at Candler Church (the former Candler House of Prayer), 1945 Smokey Park Highway, Candler. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., with the Reverend Malcolm McCarson officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
