Ida Mae Hawkins, 94, of Leicester, died Tuesday, May 26, 2009.
Miss Hawkins was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late William Arthur and Ellen Duckett Hawkins. She was a member of Big Sandy United Methodist Church.
Surviving are one sister, Margaret Brown of Leicester; one sister-in-law, Sue M. Hawkins of Leicester, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Worley officiating. Interment will be at Big Sandy United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Friday prior to the service.
