Irene Crawford Parris, 82, of Leicester, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021.
A native of Madison Co., Irene was a daughter of the late Ralph and Dell English Crawford. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Loran Walden Parris, and her son, Randall Keith Parris.
Mrs. Parris began her career as a respiratory therapist with the Children’s Orthopedic Hospital, then with Mission Hospital, St. Joseph’s, and back to Mission before retiring in 2010. She attended New Liberty Baptist Church.
Surviving are her sons, Matthew Scott Parris and Timothy Parris; granddaughter, Stephanie Parris; and great-grandchildren, Evelynn and Jeffery Cleary.
Mrs. Parris was interred at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory alongside Loran and Randall.

Dear Scott and Tim and family members. I am truly sorry to read of Irene’s passing. Irene, Loran and my family were friends from years ago. She and I were expecting our first sons at the same time. We were even in the same hospital room. Loran was a policeman at that time. I spoke to Irene on the phone last year. It was nice reconnecting with her. Loved her sweet Mother and sister too. I have known Irene for many years and did her hair for her. She was very special to me and I will miss her. Prayers for the family.

So sorry to hear of Irene’s passing. I have known and loved this family and attended church with this family for many, many years, probably since about 1960. Mrs. Crawford and Ella, and of course Loran & Irene and Conducted Loran’s funeral in 2005. Time has passed by so so fast but we treasure precious memories. You are all in our prayers.
