Iva Duckett Sharpe, 89, of Arden, NC, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025.

Born July 21, 1935, in Buncombe Co., Iva was a daughter of the late Richard and Ora King Duckett. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Sharpe.

Surviving is her sons, Danny Sharpe (Tracey) and Bill Sharpe (Debbie); grandsons, Zach, Jacob and Brian; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Pisgah View Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.

Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting the family.

  9. My Aunt Iva was one of the sweetest people that I have ever known. I know she is heaven with Eugene, my Dad, Jean, Eva, Rex, Papaw and Granny now.
    I will forever be thankful to Bill and Danny for letting me know what was going on. The last time I saw her, she knew me. Held my hand, told me she loved me and as I left she blew me a kiss back. That will forever live in my heart.
