Jack C. Faulkner, 86, of Asheville, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017, at his home. Jack was born on April 5, 1930 on the Biltmore Estate to the late Cleo C. Faulkner and Mary Ellen Faulkner. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Drake. Jack was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was owner of Faulkner's Tune-Up. He was a member of Bent Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Ethel Austin Faulkner; son, Rick Faulkner and wife Cindy; sisters, Marjorie Stevens, Mary Bell Duck, and Linda Stewart; brother, Bruce W. Faulkner; and grandsons, Jason and Jonathan Faulkner. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with The Rev. Tommy Bridges officiating. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A special thanks to Herbert and Linda Branch, Sharon Harwood, Doris Bailey, and Bobbi Sparks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CarePartners Hospice, PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813.
