Jack Haun, 76, of Leicester, died on Friday, May 9, 2014, at the Charles George VA Medical Center.
A native of the Bee Log community in Yancey Co., Mr. Haun was a son of the late Pete and Ada Ledford Haun.
Mr. Haun was a retired carpenter and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his daughters, Julie Frank and husband Brian, Debbie Fuller and husband Dave, and Tammy Moored and husband David; son, Jack Haun; nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service for Mr. Haun will be on Monday at the Brick Church Cemetery, Leicester, with the Rev. Kenneth Parker officiating, and military honors performed by the North Carolina National Guard Honor Guard.
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting Mr. Haun's family.
