Jackie David McElrath, 85, passed away Friday night, April 14, 2023, at his home at the Marjorie McCune Center in Black Mountain.
Jackie was born January 20, 1938, in Asheville, to the late Reid L. and Frances Hollifield McElrath. He was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Isabell McCarthy and Joan Robinson and brothers, Gerald McElrath and Gene McElrath.
Jackie worked for many years as a dishwasher for the Mountaineer Steak House.
He is survived by nieces & nephews, great-nieces & nephews, and great-great-nieces & nephews.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 20, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Enka.

I always had a special place in my heart ❤️ for Jackie. He was so sweet never complained about anything. A very sweet man
