Jackie Phillip Fisher, 72, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015 at the John F. Keever Solace Center. Jackie was born in Buncombe County to the late Roy Horace Fisher and Della Mae Corn Fisher. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald Dale Fisher and David Fisher. He was a former employee of Milkco Incorporated for 25 years where he was a machinist/maintenance worker and all-around handyman. Jackie loved his work and he loved his family. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Gasperson Fisher; four daughters, Becky Ray and her husband, Dennis, Lisa Green, Tina Bigham and Kerry Jones, and Elizabeth Jensen and her husband, Tommy; three grandchildren, Brian Ray, Jesse Ray and Chelsea Green; one great grandson, Waylen Ray; special brother-in-laws, Pat Cruz and Tim Gasperson, and a nephew, Michael Fisher. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Avery's Creek Christian Church Cemetery in Arden, with Reverend Cecil Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday night, April 28th at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
