Jake Waldrup
June 19, 1924 ~ March 9, 1999
Mr. Waldrup was born in Madison County and was a son of the late Ervin and Savannah Hunnicutt Waldrup. He serviced in Europe with the US Army during WW II, and was retired from Taylor Instrument Co.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Eva Rena Robinson Waldrup; a daughter, Betty Waldrup Allen of LaGrange, GA; three sons, Ronnie Waldrup of Fletcher, Roger Waldrup of Mills River, and the Rev. Chuck Waldrup of Asheville; a sister, America Waldrup of Mars Hill; a brother, Tracey Waldrup of Mars Hill; four granddaughters, a grandson, and five step-grandsons.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Friday at the Candler House of Prayer with the Revs. Chuck Waldrup, Arnold Vess, and Jerry McCain officiating. Burial will be at Pisgah View Memorial Park.
His family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Thursday at Groce Funeral Hom eon Patton Avenue.
