James David Redden

James David Redden, 80, of Marshall, met his Lord Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Mission Hospital, surrounded by his family.

A native of Buncombe Co., James was a son of the late James M. and Charlotte Priscilla Boger Redden.

Mr. Redden was an active member of Inanda Baptist Church, serving with the youth. He was a retired painter and an avid race fan (NASCAR on the weekend and Hot Wheels with his grandchildren through the week).

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Martha Hollifield Redden; son, Kyle Redden (Casie); daughters, Paula Autrey (David) and Charlotte Redden; 9 grandchildren; sister, Frances Kay Ray; and brother, Ray Redden (Donna).

Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday at Inanda Baptist Church, with Rev. Anthony Messer, Rev. Caleb Curtis and Mr. Colby Ledford officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to assist with expenses.
