JAMES D. JONES James Dewey Jones, 55, of 41 Mulberry Street, Asheville, died Sunday, July 15, 2007. Mr. Jones was born in Raleigh and was a retired supervisor with the City of Asheville. He was a Baptist and he was preceded in death by a son, Lee Jones. Surviving are his wife, Pamela Frady Jones; four daughters, Jordan Jones, Priscilla Brooks and Lisa McFee, all of Asheville, and Denise Johnson of Greenville, SC; three sons, Buster Brown and Stephen Riddle of Asheville and Chris Jones of Greenville, SC; and eleven grandchildren. Private family services will be held.

  4. Pamela, My name is Jesse, I am so sorry to know that James passed away. I knew James since I was 18.I belive he was 16? met him at job corps, everyone called us the James boys as in Jesse James the outlaws.but we were the nice guys,He has been a close friend of mine until we lost contact, he used to walk on his hands and go up steps and all,everyone liked that, him and his sons used to stay with my wife and I. Chris the oldest is about my son age he is 36 and Lee is about my daughter age she’ll be 34 in Oct. Didn’t know his son Lee passed away I am sorry to know that. But me knowing James he is at a better place then we are, and that is in God hands.I am sorry for your loss,God bless you and your family, Jesse.
