James E. Myers

James Edward "Bar" Myers, 55, of 539 Holbert Rd., Mountain Home, died Monday, September 25, 2006, at his residence. Mr. Myers was born in Buncombe Co., and was a son of the late Eugene and Ruby Searcy Myers. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Grace Edmonds and three brothers, Earl, Mark and Tater Myers. Mr. Myers is survived by six sisters; Frances Willix, Kathy Buckner, Sharon Raines, Shirley Myers, Hazel McMahan and Linda Wheeler; three brothers, Jerry, Ernest and Roger Myers; three step-daughters, Jessica, Michelle and Heather; and one step-son, David. A memorial service will be held at Grassy Branch Baptist Church on Riceville Road at 7:00 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Terry Duckworth officiating. Private burial will be later in the church cemetery. His family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help with the expenses.
