Jean, Jane and Mrs. Varner:
I saw Mr. Varner’s obituary in the Saturday paper, and wanted you to know how sorry I am. I am afraid I and my husband will be unable to attend the memorial service, but I believe that my mother and Betty Matthews are planning to be there.
I did not know how difficult it was to lose a loved one until my dad died a few years ago. I miss him and think of him every day, and I know what a difficult time this must be for all of you.
We are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers –
