James Emory Wallace, Sr., 77, of Fletcher, died on Monday, March 6, 2017, at the CarePartners Solace Center.
A native of Buncombe Co., James was a son of the late Jencie Allene Wallace Brown Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Wallace; son, James Wallace; many other children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with whom he was blessed; and siblings, Johnny Wallace, Joe Brown, and Linda Brown.
The graveside service for Mr. Wallace will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 13, at West Chapel Cemetery with Fletcher Baptist Church officiating.
His family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 12, at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave.

James, I’m sorry for your loss. I just want you to know i’m praying that God will comfort you and your family as you grieve the loss of your dad.
I am so sorry for your loss. There is no way for me to truely know how you feel. I wish I have the right word, but I would like you to know that I care and I am here to help in anyway I can.
