James Frederick George, Sr.

Mr. George was born in New Bethlehem, PA, and was a son of the late Zale Ross and Edith Lillian Caldwell George. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Zale George, Jr. and a grandson, James Charles George. He was an Army veteran and was a retired bacteriologist and laboratory director.

He is survived by one daughter, Linda Carol George of Sacramento, CA; two sons, James F. George, Jr. and his wife Mary Ellen of Asheville and Thomas Ross George and his wife Irene of Felton, CA; one sister, Nancy Jane Dolby of Clarion, PA; and five grandchildren, Kelly, Kate, Chloe, Jessica, and Aaron George.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 pm Sunday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home.
